Shuffle Board
Player/Team 1 begins by shooting one of their bottle caps. Player/Team 2 shoots the other color. Players then rotate until all eight caps have been shot. If a cap doesn't cross the foul line (middle line) it must be removed and the shot forfeited.
After all eight caps have been shot, the score is tallied.
Scoring may seem complicated, but it can be quite simple. You don’t add the scores of all of the caps, you only add the scores of the player who has a cap furthest down the table. You only score those caps that stopped further down the table than your opponents.
The player/team that scores in the frame, goes first in the next. Keep playing until a player/team scores the number of points that was agreed too at the start.
Scoring:
The area that’s closest to the edge is 3 points
The area in the short middle section is 2 points
The area in the long middle sections is 1 point
Hanging off the edge of the table is 4 points.
If the cap ends up touching the line, the lower area’s point is the score.
If the cap falls off the end of the table it is forefeit.
Battle Caps
Game can be played in three ways (or many more, use your imagination).
Game 1
Each player starts with 4 caps, they alternate shooting back and forth attempting to have their caps go off the edge of the table and into one of the waiting shot glasses.
After all caps are shot then you total the number of glasses that have caps in them count as one point. Multiple caps in a glass still only count as one.
Total your score and setup for another round, the first player to reach the agreed winning score the game is over.
Game 2
Each player starts with a supply of caps, use as many as you like. Set a timer, I recommend 1 minute, but use whatever time you desire, really depends on how many caps you have. When the game starts each player in rapid fire pushes their caps down the table with the goal of them falling off the edge into the waiting shot glasses.
Pickup and reuse any caps that have missed the glass and continue shooting. At the end of the time total the number of caps in the glasses and the player with the highest score wins.
Game 3
Each player starts with a supply of caps, use as many as you like/have. When the game starts each player in rapid fire pushes their caps down the table with the goal of them falling off the edge into the waiting shot glasses.
Pickup and reuse any caps that have missed the glass and continue shooting. The winner in this game is the first player to get atleast one cap in each of the four glasses.
Cap Hockey
Simple but fun game. Each player takes one of the resin filled caps to use as their mallet. Put these with the smooth side down. Make sure the barriers at the end of the table are rotated down. Use another cap, flat side down as the puck and play the game just like Air Hockey, goal is scored when the cap goes into and stays in the recess at the end of the table.
